I just got the lamb kebab plate for lunch and IT WAS AMAZING! Everything about it was delicious! Tender lamb, super tasty rice. Under new management and is it possible that the food is better?
WOW!! First of all ONE OF THE KINDEST MEN greets you, warm smile friendly tone of voice. Even a little story about the flavours you are about to taste. He even offers FREE HOT TEA! Now it isn't the prettiest of places BUT forget about that. I got the Chicken Kabob Wrap, it hangs on a roaster. He slices your portion from the chicken as you watch. Offered to taste before ordering. Now I had zero ideas why I went here, and am glad I did. This is the most flavourful wrap EVER! Ooh the music sets the tone of sitting someplace other than Poughkeepsie NY. Gives a nice sense of charm about the space.
Delicious shawarma and the best falafel i ever tried! Better call and order in advance, everything is done fresh, so takes a while. Love it here!

Good supply for middle eastern foods, spices cheese and breads. Friendly owners. Their cooked foods (such as stuffed grape leaves, lentil soup falafel) are always good for takeout.
If you are looking for good middle eastern food then Haddads is the place to go. The man inside is very nice and the food is always fresh. Please go support this small little spot on Main Street pk. Good food, good people and great environment
Stopped in here for the first time today and enjoyed lunch to go. The chicken shawarma plate was delicious and a decent portion for $8. We also loved the grape leaves though they were certainly different than other middle eastern stuffed grape leaves- in a good way! Was not crazy about the falafel sandwich because it was a little bit soggy. Other than the prepared foods there's a number of middle eastern grocery staples, including the bessssst pita that is super cheap and freezes well. Also lots of reasonably priced spices, canned things and sweets. Will definitely be back to try the labna and for another chicken shawarma plate!
I cannot believe that this was my first time eating at Haddads this entire time I've lived in Poughkeepsie... The food is amazing and so cheap!! Falafel is one of my all time favorites and they do it just right at Haddad's. The falafel is very moist, tahini is made to perfection, and the pita bread is real pita not some generic store bought flour tortilla! They also offered me some free house made hot sauce which had amazing flavor (& could even stand to be spicier). The falafel sandwich price is unbeatable at $4.49--you can't get a freshly made filling meal for that price anywhere! I also tried the Lamb Kebab meal over Doordash and I was very happy with that meal as well I highly recommend getting the guava juice in the small glass bottle... perfect combination of flavors with the freh hot food. This is a great family run business and I will be recommending it to everyone. The only I wish they had is some fries to go with the Falafel Sandwich... but still worth it 100%
Have ordered falafel sandwich and plate. Eating in. Food was scrumptious, salad soft and tasty, and more. Atmosphere casual, clean. Some nice grocery items, date juice too.
